My father (deceased) was a amateur boxer in the 1970’s in NYC how do I find info on him ? for free?

All I have is his boxing name I also have an authentic boxing ticket from a match he had in 8/18/78 at prospect hall in Brooklyn .I’m not sure where to start can you help me ?

EDIT: U could also go online and check the New York AAU records. Everything is online nowadays so im sure they would have all amateur records for the state there.
