Eragon, the movie, when the sequel?

It has been previously answered that omissions of original movie and box office unpopularity negates possibility of sequel. This is debatable, for the 80s cartoon/live action mix of Lord of The Rings suffered similarly, yet the remake and extension of same was and is a phenomenal success. Eragon is a great yarn. When will someone grab it for a serial movie, rather than concentrating on rehashing old 40s and 50s moves which continue to outclass the glossy remakes?
