Out of the many forms of martial arts trainings that are being taught in Chicago, Muay Thai Chicago is one that is slowly gaining popularity. In order for us to fully understand what Muay Thai Chicago, we have to define it first. What exactly is Muay Thai Chicago?
It is referred to and popularly known as “Thai Boxing”. “Thai Boxing” or Muay Thai Chicago is a form of hard martial arts practiced all around the globe. Basically by the name itself Muay Thai Chicago is Thailand’s National sport specialized ik the so-called as the “Art of Eight Limbs” that allows the use of the hands, elbows, knees and shin. A Muay Thai practitioner always has the opportunity to master the execution of strikes just by simply using the eight points of contact.
As of the moment, Muay Thai can be rarely learned in its purest form since it has already been incorporated in many other forms of mixed martial arts most especially in kickboxing. It is now being used for entertainment purposes. Two persons with gloves on their hands and facing each other inside a ring use Muay Thai techniques to fight each other in an environment that is similar to an ordinary boxing, it is popularly known as the UFC today.
On the other hand, another from of mixed martial arts that is also popular nowadays is known as Jeet Kune Do Chicago. It is knows as the philosophy of martial art and life of Bruce Lee. It became popular because of its very unique style. Jeet Kune Do Chicago is not fixed or patterned because it is guided by the thoughts of the practitioner itself. It is merely the expression of an individual’s feelings with the use of his\her own minimum movements and energy that’s according to the infamous Bruce Lee.
While Muay Thai is more on complexity, Jeet Kune Do is more on flexibility. It is more on moving without any limitations and in the long run it will include the art of physical development. To make it simpler, Jeet Kune Do seeks to make its practitioner most confident in using his own techniques that would ultimately come out eventually along the process as he tries to defend himself. It doesn’t really teach you new techniques, styles and stuff like that but it merely develops the innate capabilities of the person who’s into Jeet Kune Do. It is a form of martial art that has no boundaries at all and is dependent on the practitioner itself.
So whether you are into Muay Thai or Jeet Kune Do, Chicago martial arts schools definitely can provide you with the best knowledge and possible training you can ever imagine. The key here does not lie on the trainers and instructors but it’s within the student, the student who is willing to be trained because the trainer merely passes on his knowledge of those forms of martial arts to the student but it’s always up to the student to absorb or to reject the knowledge provided.
